KYC (Know Your Customer)
Purpose
This policy describes how the natural person operating FanHuntly may verify the identity of natural persons who use the service—for example when processing creator tip withdrawals, large transactions, suspected fraud, or where regulations applicable to the operator require customer due diligence. Read it with our Privacy policy, Terms of use, and Creator terms.
When we may require KYC
- Requesting withdrawal of eligible FanCa$h tip balances to external payout rails when withdrawals are enabled.
- Hitting risk thresholds based on transaction volume, velocity, geography, or suspicious activity indicators.
- Complying with sanctions screening, anti–money laundering obligations, or lawful requests from regulators.
- Investigating account takeover, chargeback patterns, or abuse reports that implicate financial integrity.
Specific triggers may evolve; we may pause or restrict payouts until verification succeeds when the feature is active.
What we may collect
Typical elements
Depending on risk level and vendor workflow, verification may include government-issued identification, national or tax identifiers where permitted, proof of address, selfie or liveness checks, and Politically Exposed Person / sanctions screening results generated by compliance tools.
Vendors
Identity checks are often performed through specialized third-party providers acting as our processors. Those vendors may operate outside your country; see international transfer disclosures in the Privacy policy.
Outcomes
- Success — eligible payouts or higher limits may proceed subject to separate payout processor rules.
- Temporary failure — we may request clearer documents or alternate verification steps.
- Refusal or abandonment — we may decline to offer payout services or close accounts where verification cannot be completed or where legal risk remains unacceptable.
Retention
Verification records may be retained for periods dictated by anti–money laundering law, tax law, dispute resolution, or operational auditing. Your counsel should align schedules with jurisdictional minimums and maximums.
