KYB (Know Your Business)
Purpose
Although FanHuntly is operated by an individual (see our general Terms of use), creators who receive payouts as a company or other legal entity may still be subject to KYB. When users access FanHuntly through a legal entity—or seek payouts to corporate bank accounts or treasury functions—we may perform Know Your Business (“KYB”) diligence in addition to individual KYC checks on representatives. This policy outlines expectations at a high level.
When KYB applies
- You contract or receive payouts as a company, partnership, or similar entity rather than solely as a natural person acting only in your individual capacity.
- Payouts are directed to business accounts, corporate cards, or treasury endpoints requiring entity validation.
- Invoicing, VAT/GST registration, or contractual notices must reference a registered organization.
Information we may request
Entity documentation
- Certificate or extract proving formation and good standing.
- Registered address and principal place of business.
- Tax identifiers relevant to invoicing or withholding.
- Ownership chart or declarations identifying beneficial owners.
Authorized persons
We may collect IDs and authorizations for directors, officers, or delegates permitted to bind the entity, connect bank accounts, or receive compliance notices. Individuals acting for the entity remain subject to KYC checks appropriate to their roles.
Relationship to KYC
KYB focuses on the organization; KYC focuses on the people behind transactions. Both may be required in parallel before payouts settle.
Failure or refusal
If KYB cannot be completed, we may withhold business-route payouts, revert to individual eligibility rules, or decline to onboard the entity. Fraudulent filings may trigger termination and law-enforcement referral.
Privacy and retention
Business verification data is processed under our Privacy policy. Retention follows statutory commercial and anti–money laundering requirements.
